ACI Operations Certificate
No transaction can take place without the Back-Office. The Back-Office - sometimes also called Operations - renders an important service to the Front-Office of the Financial Markets department: seeing to it that all cash-flows are processed correctly and on time, and all the required documentation is in order.
This four-day training course prepares participants for the ACI Operations Certificate exam. The course gives participants insight into the function of the Financial Markets department within a bank, and the elementary instruments that are used by this department. The course also gets into the role of the various sub-departments within Financial Markets, and describes the operating processes that are connected with trading financial instruments. Each session consists of an explanation of an examination subject, after which the participants have the possibility of testing their accumulated knowledge by means of practice questions. These practice questions are comparable with the official examination.
The ACI Operations Certificate is very suitable for employees of supporting departments, such as Back-Office, Middle-Office, IT, Compliance, internal audit and operational risk. And project employees who have to deal with these departments in the course of their work also profit from this training.
By means of classroom lectures and self-study, the participants prepare themselves for the examination. After passing the examination, participants can continue with the ACI Diploma. The training can be pursued both as an open-enrollment course, and as an in-house course. For more information about in-house courses, you can contact us.

Testimonials
"The training course provides a good insight into the workings of a bank, both internally and to the role and functioning of the various players."
Maarten Gielen, Business Process Manager ABN Amro
The training course provides a good insight into the workings of a bank, both internally and to the role and functioning of the various players. Thanks to the professional knowledge of the trainer, Lex van der Wielen, the characteristics of the Financial Markets products are explained clearly and understandably. This also applies to the manner in which the clearing and settlement of these products takes place. The training also provides a clear understanding of the risks of the bank during the life of a Financial Markets transaction / position. The training helped me to understand the Financial Markets processes and products better, and therefore improved my work as Business Process Manager.
"You're not only been taught how processes and products work, but also why they work the way they do. And that is in the end what really matters!"
Steven van Haren, Risk Consultant Double Effect
The ACI Operations training I've followed at Double Effect Training gave me insight in the different processes and products in the financial services sector. The different processes and products are explained vividly by practical examples. In that way you're not only been taught how processes and products work, but also why they work the way they do. And that is in the end what really matters!
