What is McKinsey's Business Technology Practice?

McKinsey’s Business Technology Practice (BTO) is a functional practice within McKinsey. It is comprised of nearly 700 McKinsey consultants globally who help clients think strategically about how to use technology to create fundamental business change.

What kind of work do Business Technology Consultants do?

Business Technology consultants work on the same types of engagements as anyone else at McKinsey. On balance, however, we do more technology-related projects than others at the firm.

Business course

During this exclusive 3-day event in Berlin, students from Belgian and Dutch universities and young professionals with 1-3 years of work experience will work in small teams, coached by our consultants, to solve a business case and experience the key elements of consulting at the intersection of business and technology.

It is a unique event where you can learn about different techniques for solving problems, giving you a chance to see what it would like to work as a Business Technology Consultant. You will be able to have all your questions answered in a relaxed, fun and informal atmosphere whilst discovering exciting career opportunities.

Training

Participants will also be offered a typical McKinsey training which all our consultants follow during their first year with us. This exclusive training will help enhance your communication and interpersonal skills which are an important asset in today's business environment.

Who can apply?

The business course is developed for Bachelor 3, Master's and PhD students and young professionals with 1-3 years of work experience who are interested in strategic management consultancy and have an affinity with or a background in technology. We are looking for ambitious participants who have demonstrated to set high standards for themselves and want to take that a step further.

Applicants should be fluent in English together with Dutch and interested in starting a career in the Netherlands.
