Kearney Strategy Challenge (3-day event)

The Kearney Strategy Challenge is our number one recruitment event and your chance to experience life as a strategy consultant at Kearney.

During this three-day business course (March 16-18) you and other selected top students will dive into a challenging real-life case supported by Kearney consultants.

The event

During Kearney’s Strategy Challenge everything is arranged to ensure a fully catered experience. You will get to know Kearney’s people, our vision, and the day-to-day work of a strategy consultant. Together with the other participant you will be immersed in the company atmosphere through lunches, dinners, and fantastic evening programs. We look forward to meeting you! 

The case

As a strategy consultant you help businesses, organizations, and governments to make essential strategic decisions: decisions with impact! You will experience the work of a strategy consultant by solving a challenging case for our partner African Parks. 

During the three-day challenge you and your team will aim to investigate ‘the question behind the question’, you will define the problem and develop a direction to solve the case. To solve the case, you will be coached by experienced Kearney consultants. The highlight will be the presentation of your team’s solution to our consultants and the COO of African Parks.

Who is eligible for this event?

Are you an excellent academic student with unlimited ambition and good sense for human interaction? Additionally, are you a team player with a creative mind set who can develop tailored solutions to complex problems? Regardless of your academic profile, we challenge you to apply!

*Please note that having a profound level of the Dutch language skills, both verbal and written, is a requisite for participating in our events.

The application processes

Only a limited number of students can participate in the Strategy Challenge. Because the number of applications often exceeds our maximum, we select students through the following steps:

1. You apply through the application form on the website.
2. To complete your application, we need your letter of motivation, CV, high school transcript, University transcript(s) and profile picture.
3. Application deadline: January 24, 2022. We will inform you on 31st of January at the latest if you are invited for the interview round.
4. Interviews will take place from 14th of February until 18th of February 2022.
5. Final selection will be announced at the latest on the 23rd of February 2022, at the latest.
