Staying ahead requires Next Generation Leadership

Incumbent companies faces many challenges to stay ahead. Climate change threatens economic livelihood and political stability. Urbanization triggers issues about sustainability and resilience. And the dizzying speed of digital transformation is accompanied by radical economic and social changes.

On the one hand, it has created a convergence of change, in which the major challenges are to reinvent yourself as a business, reshape how you are organized, and to define and redefine culture. On the other hand, it has increased the empowerment of individuals (customers and employees), the chance to broaden your playing field, and tremendous opportunities for incumbents with their trusted brands, scale, etc., to create long term value for all stakeholders.

Next Generation Leadership from finance professionals is needed in order to remain relevant and to create long term value for all stakeholders. We will have an informed discussion on the following themes:

  • Responsible leadership: transformational challenges and opportunities
  • Driving value creation: incumbents and scale ups moving the needle in the value chain
  • Cultural Transformation: diversity and inclusion, and four generations in the workplace

We will focus on what’s now, new and NEXT in the post-digital era during all NextGen Finance-sessions in 2020; e.g. in the field of sustainability, innovation, AI & Leadership.
