“How to benefit from and prepare for AI”

We would like to invite you to our Roundtable meeting on Tuesday 28 March 2017. The event will take place in the Protiviti Amsterdam office.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial Intelligence has been around for many years, but more people are affected by smart systems, now more than ever. Organisations using AI benefit from the positive effects. Industries, which use large amounts of data for decision-making will have to use AI sooner rather than later to be cost-effective in today’s competitive markets. Risk Management is no stranger to large data sets, incidents, assessments, losses and KRI measurements, all of which are driving the need for fast and effective analysis of data.

Spreakers

Tijmen Blankevoort is co-founder and CTO of Scyfer, a spin-off company of the University of Amsterdam specializing in bringing Artificial Intelligence to business. He advises big and small corporations in the Netherlands on Machine Learning and its applications. He can often be found on stage presenting about the newest developments in AI. Tijmen bridges the gap between complex AI developments and practical applications in the business world by working towards his vision: Enabling anyone to teach an AI. Scyfer brings together some of the best European experts in machine learning to solve real business challenges; using deep learning, machine learning, computer vision and data mining. Their clients include TATA Steel, ING, Albert Heijn, ABN Amro and the LUMC. Tijmen will give an overview of Artificial Intelligence, to put the latest developments in the news in perspective. In this session you will learn what is happening, and how companies are applying AI technology to their businesses.

Owen Strijland, Associated Director responsible for the Financial Services Industry and GRC Solutions at Protiviti, will share his thoughts, and try to capture yours, on how to prepare for AI managing your organisation’s risks in 2030.
