Senior Consultant Sanctions & Trade Compliance

As a Senior Consultant you participate in advisory assignments with a focus on import and export chains of multinational companies. You understand national and international trade requirements and align them with the business objectives of your clients; you will have the opportunity to develop and pursue creative strategies together with professional colleagues.

Your job includes the following:

• Support clients in the field of compliance with export controls, sanctions and embargoes who are active in, among others, the defense, oil & gas, energy, aviation, logistics and high-tech industry;
• Analyse and provide advise on specific transactions regarding the compliance with applicable sanctions / export controls is part of the job;
• Collaborate with customers and their compliance specialists to establish, implement or review their so-called “Internal Compliance Program” for compliance with export controls, sanctions and embargos on and other international trade management procedures within key trade regions;
• Assist exporters in understanding the implications of legal, regulatory and industry standard requirements for international trade compliance on their international operations and achieving effective and efficient compliance worldwide;
• Supply chain efficiency planning including trade and security, along with other teams such as customs and M&A teams, US government contracting;
• Sanctions and export controls; assistance with audits and representation with government agencies;
• Develop and maintain relations with Industry association and potential clients.

As a Senior Consultant Sanctions & Trade Compliance you can recognize yourself in the following profile:

• Experienced professional with at least 6 years of relevant work experience in the field of compliance with sanctions, export control and embargoes;
• You have excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, and possibly another language;
• You have knowledge of (international) sanctions and export control legislation and relevant laws and regulations for combating financial economic crime, and related policy statements of government agencies and industry standards based thereon;
• You have extensive experience in the field of development, writing and implementation of compliance policy;
• You are a team player and able perform on your own in preparing, executing or finalizing assignments;
