Job Description & Summary

Our clients are steadily increasing their transition to online channels. Companies which formerly only sold via B2B channels are increasingly starting their own online direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels. Due to the pandemic, this shift to online sales has accelerated.

PwC’s Customer practice helps companies build the organizational capabilities to set up DTC eCommerce channels.  We help explore in which combination of products, eCommerce channels, customer segments and countries our clients can grow online. As a manager in our team, you will support clients in various industries in building or growing their online presence.

Your work will focus around developing the organizational, customer experience and technology foundations underlying eCommerce. On a daily basis, your work will be varied - ranging from conducting analysis on where to grow to guiding stakeholders across departments and geographies in setting up international eCommerce and digital marketing centers of excellence.

As a manager in this role,  you will be able to develop yourself in multiple ways. Aside from business acumen and technical skills, you develop your relationship skills by working with senior stakeholders at our clients across multiple industries. At the same time you support the development of our junior colleagues and help grow PwC’s international network of eCommerce capabilities by creating new eCommerce propositions together with colleagues in other consulting competences and countries.

Who are you?

You combine a sharp mind with strong communication and written reporting skills. Prior eCommerce expertise is a must have for this role. Furthermore, you recognize yourself in one or more of the following skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience

  • Hands-on experience with developing end-to-end organizational eCommerce capabilities across the spectrum of strategy, organisational design, technology, pricing, marketing customer service, product & offer management and logistics

  • Understanding how global eCommerce organizations work: which eCommerce activities are developed in countries, and how do international eCommerce teams support them?

  • Specific understanding of the competitive landscape in eCommerce and how companies can compete online e.g. via owned channels or ecosystem partners

  • Experience with developing cross-channel customer journeys, both in customers touchpoints as well as in their underlying organizational capabilities

  • You are fluent in English. Proficiency in Dutch is a plus.

Who are we?

At PwC we want to contribute to building trust in society and solving important problems. We are a network of companies in 157 countries with more than 208,000 people. More than 4,400 people work together at PwC in the Netherlands. We see it as our task to deliver quality in the field of assurance, tax and advisory services.

What do we offer?

We offer access to the global PwC network in which you can share knowledge, ideas and questions with experienced professionals in your own area and other disciplines. As well as offering excellent primary and secondary employment conditions, we especially appreciate:

  • Flexibility: we are a fast-growing organisation and are constantly on the move. This calls for flexibility on the part of our employees, but also means that we offer a wide range of flexible employment schemes.

  • Development: PwC offers a global framework that supports the development of result-oriented and value-driven employees. We refer to this as the PwC Professional.

  • Diversity: we believe that diversity makes us stronger as a company. This puts us in a better position to solve important issues and deliver more value to our customers. We encourage an inclusive culture where people can be themselves, are valued for their strengths and are given what they need to get the best out of themselves.

  • Sustainability: your work has a direct impact on society and you act accordingly. You like to contribute to solving social issues; corporate sustainability (CS) is an indispensable part of your service and your approach to work.

  • An appropriate salary and extensive terms of employment, including a "well-being budget". This is a personal annual budget of € 1000 to be spent on your health, such as: mindfulness, sports, lifestyle coaching, wellness, a second screen for your home workplace and noise canceling headphones.
