As part of an international community of creators, makers and innovators you drive the business of PwC’s digital services from our Experience Center. In cross-functional teams, you design and build innovative solutions for our clients to thrive in the ‘experience age’. 

Many of our clients face significant challenges - expectations of their customers and employees change faster than they can adapt. At the same time, new market entrants cause significant disruption, and steal market share away. To tackle these challenges, our clients require a partner that can help them innovate and accelerate the implementation of solutions that have an immediate and differentiating impact on the experience provided to their customer or employees. 

The Experience Center is part of a multinational European team, closely collaborating with colleagues across offices in Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt, Berlin and Stockholm to name a few.

What can you expect to work on?
As the senior UX and UI design lead you help drive PwC’s digital services from our Experience Center in Amsterdam. In cross-functional teams, you work with other digital and experience innovation experts. You lead the design of new digital products and digital services for our clients, closely working together with strategy and digital technology experts across the team. You lead the client dialogue and can articulate the value and importance of design for a client organisation. With the team, you shape the experience vision for new products or services, and you know how to translate user needs and insights into creative solutions. As a digital native, you understand how mainstream technology and emerging technology can enhance the user experience. You know how to make something complex simple, you focus relentlessly on creating delightful experiences for users, free of friction or obstacles. You have a great affinity with branding, and you know how to amplify a client’s brand in a new digital product or service offering. You love to work in cross-functional teams, and you understand the practices around ‘agile delivery’.

To be successful in this role you will need the majority of the following skills:

  • You know industry standard design tools inside out, for example Figma, Adobe, Sketch, Principle. 

  • You know how to conduct CX research, and how to leverage qualitative and quantitative research, and insights, and translate those into design visions and experience concepts;

  • You can present and articulate an experience design and UX vision, and explain the rationale;

  • You have experience overseeing a design team, and lead the creation of of personas and customer journey maps;

  • You have experience working with strategists to create service blueprints and experience mapping;

  • You are experienced in rapid prototyping, know how to visualise data, and create dashboards. You have extensive experience creating wireframes, scenarios and user flows.

  • You know how to analyse a process, and re-engineer processes to design new user experiences;

  • You know what’s technically feasible and how to progress UX and UI into digital solutions, you might have dabbled in CSS and HTML, or frontend frameworks; 

  • You have a great affinity with technology, including new technologies such as voice control design, and extended reality, and how it enables the creation of better experiences for customers (users);

  • You can organise and run design and innovation workshops, you can conduct user testing / validation;  

  • A track record of UX and UI design across software and digital applications (mobile, table and web). Affinity with the creation of motion design, including videos, animations and micro-interactions;

  • You have worked with agile development teams, and created Design Systems, online style and brand guides, and you have working knowledge of the latest web-based technologies. 

  • You are familiar with accessibility standards and inclusive design, and you know how to apply those in your design work.

We would love to hear from you if you meet most of the following characteristics and experiences:

  • At least 10 years of experience as a senior UX / UI designer, of which at least 24 months in a senior role overseeing project teams in a digital agency or consulting environment (or within an in-house digital products or services team);

  • You have a proven track record and portfolio of work that highlights a diverse range of ‘digital and experience design’ projects, from idea to design to the build of digital services, native apps, websites and online platforms (for example Adobe, SalesForce, ecommerce, CMS or experience platform);

  • You have a proven and successful track record delivering UX / UI projects. 

  • You know how to  coach and mentor and support creative talent. You have a passion for growing and nurturing junior design talent;

  • You lean on your deep love and experienced and well trained eye for good visual design;

  • You show a deep passion for UX, you know what the best-in class examples of UX look like;

  • You lean on your deep love and experienced and well trained eye for good visual design;

  • You love working in interactive design cycles (sprints) and you know how to organise UX and UI as part of a larger agile digital delivery process. You know how to incorporate user testing and validation steps;

  • You can effectively collaborate across multidisciplinary teams with cx researchers, product managers and developers to define and together deliver the best possible product;. 

  • You're equally passionate about talking to the customers of a company as with its CEO. 

  • You seamlessly combine the characteristics of a creative and those of a consultant. 

  • You are a digital native, creative in everything you do, you are confident, and you dare to challenge the status quo.
