(Senior) Associate Operational Resilience

Economic, social and geopolitical megatrends, COVID-19, and a rapidly evolving technological environment, make organisations increasingly vulnerable to a wide variety of crisis situations, IT disruptions, cyber-attacks and loss of data. To continue to deliver the best customer experience our clients have a need to prevent and respond to disruptions and to strengthen their operational resilience.

Our Risk Consulting team is looking for talented colleagues to work on operational resilience projects in the financial services industry. Candidates who enjoy supporting different clients with these projects and have the ambition to continuously develop their expertise and advisory skills are welcome to apply for the position of Associate/Senior Associate Operational Resilience.

How will you add value to our team

With your technical and professional skills, you advise our clients on how to improve their operational resilience and handle their broader (enterprise) risk management challenges. You will work on e.g.:

  • Execute operational resilience scans and advising clients in the financial services industry on becoming more in control and strengthening their resilience
  • Review of and advising on crisis management frameworks, response plans and playbooks, and consulting on the development and improvement of recovery and resolution plans
  • Integrate the control of cyber risks into the wider enterprise risk management framework and governance, including cyber risk dashboarding and the quantification of cyber risks
  • Contribute to broader range of non-financial risk management topics such as aligning risk management with strategy, purpose and values, risk governance, risk & control frameworks, third party risk management and the transformation and digitalization of Risk Management functions to become ‘fit for future’.

Who are you

We are looking for colleagues who enjoy performing regulatory work and advising clients, who have:

  • A master’s degree or PhD with academic background in finance, economics, technics (e.g. mathematics, computer science), law or a different relevant academic background
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in an IT advisory firm, financial institution or with another consultancy firm with a focus on IT -, Cyber - or Operational Risk Management
  • Good understanding of (new) EU regulatory requirements regarding Operational Resilience (e.g. DORA, Digital Operational Resilience Act) and the impact on financial institutions
  • Strong vision on how financial institutions can adapt to the rapidly changing environment and effectively manage and improve their operational resilience
  • Proven experience in implementing/enhancing non-financial risk management requirements and specifically on information security, cyber risk, outsourcing risk and/or operational risk
  • Affinity with the use of analytical tooling and programming languages is preferable
  • Excellent communication skills in English and preferable also in Dutch
  • Consulting, teamplay and social skills, and you enjoy building strong relationships with clients
  • Enthusiasm, positive energy and the drive to make a difference in a challenging environment.
