International Financial and Operations Analyst

This position will drive high priority International initiatives as part of a team that supports the International Chief Executive Officer. You will support, and at times independently lead, projects across a variety of topics, in a high visibility role reporting to the Director of International Strategy and Operations. You will own end-to-end impact, from analytics, to solution design, implementation and change management. This is a strategy role with a strong bias for action and accountability, not just thought partnership. You will gain a deep understanding of the business with significant exposure to senior leaders across DaVita. We envision this role as a stepping stone towards future leadership opportunities within the organization. The position interacts across multiple departments and geographies and is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Sample projects may include:
- Assessment of international expansion opportunities and development of market entry strategies
- Driving monthly financial processes, including analysis of P&L and reporting, for international operations
- Developing broad-based growth strategies for dialysis and population health (including patient retention, customer acquisition, branding, new product launch)
- Designing and implementing large and complex operational improvement projects
- Creating stakeholder strategy (e.g. physicians, payors, health systems)

What makes a stellar International Analyst at DaVita?
- Ability to perform financial analysis, modeling of operational and financial impact of potential transactions and valuation analysis (comparable companies, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow and related investment returns)
- Providing analytic support in planning and executing strategic growth initiatives spanning all facets of the M&A process including identification, assessment, due diligence, negotiations and closing
- Participation in and assistance with coordinating meetings and due diligence sessions with target company management and external investment advisors
- Assisting in managing business unit colleagues cross-functionally to perform financial and operational due diligence analyses of target companies and identifying and resolving key deal issues
- Ability to develop and present memoranda, presentations and detailed financial analyses to senior management
- Successful support for ad hoc projects (e.g., prospect pipeline, tracking prior investments, etc.) and other administrative tasks to enhance the group’s infrastructure
- Driving monthly financial processes, including analysis of P&L and reporting, for international operations
- Executing on ad hoc analysis for other parts of the International ecosystem, as necessary
- Contributing to creation of key leadership communications, such as presentations for the International CEO and Board of Directors
- Performing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
- You have a Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or another technical field (Preference for top undergraduate programs)
- 2-5 years of transaction-oriented analytical experience. Prefer experience from the M&A group at a leading investment bank, corporate development department or something comparable
- Significant direct transaction/valuation experience
- Outstanding conceptual, financial, analytical, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communications, including presentation skills
- Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders
- Team player with the ability to sell change effectively and influence others
- Effective communicator, relationship builder and business athlete with the ability to create impact across a range of functions and disciplines
- Strong sense of accountability with a passion for owning projects and driving them to completion
- Expert in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Experience in healthcare is a plus
- On project-by-project basis, provide oversight for other teammates not directly reporting to this position. Provide input to assist in their professional and personal growth.
- Besides Fluency in English, a minimum of fluency in one foreign language; Spanish, Portuguese or Chinese language skills a strong plus
- Travel required: up to 50%
