The Role 

Korn Ferry Netherlands has a successful track record and brand in the field of Total Rewards. With our brand, IP, data and people we make the difference for predominantly mid-sized and large international clients. To realize our growth ambitions, we are looking for an Associate Client Partner in our Amsterdam based Reward & Benefits team, with a specialisation on Pensions.

Client Partners are the most senior people in our firm. They are responsible for leading client account teams, sector teams and/or value proposition teams to have a sustained and substantial positive impact on our clients’ business success. Client partners are recognised nationally, and internationally, as the voice of Korn Ferry on particular expertise areas. They are spokespersons for the firm on high profile platforms including national media and are comfortable and confident as ‘residents’ of client boardrooms.

Key Accountabilities 

  • Direct the development of critical local, national and international clients through active client relationship management, especially at board level. This will also involve leading teams to shape and win complex bids, often crossing the Korn Ferry enterprise.
  • Develop hypotheses and forecasts about client business issues based on sound analysis and know how of the Total Rewards space; identify unique opportunities to enhance business performance.
  • Expand existing portfolio of client relationships and work with business leaders to increase opportunities in the field of Total Rewards and more specifically Pensions, to further impact the client’s business success.
  • Extend and elevate the KF brand. Leverage deep knowledge of Total Rewards and Pensions to develop insights and define, recommend, and co-create bold/innovative solutions that enhance client business performance.
  • Lead on and act as a spokesperson for thought leadership and/or research to represent KF in the market/media and raise brand profile both nationally and internationally.
  • Ensure profitable, high quality development and delivery of work that meets or exceeds client expectations by structuring and overseeing profitable client engagements. This includes delegation to the right level to ensure profitability as well as enhancing team success and developing capabilities.
  • Ensure constant focus on outcomes by advancing the team’s success and capabilities through sophisticated relationship management, influence, coaching, problem solving and diplomacy skills.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor others by proactively identifying and creating learning opportunities for colleagues at all levels and in all areas.
  • Advance Korn Ferry (KF) Advisory as a premier career destination – build future capacity for growth and impact by building people skills and employee engagement. Lead and inspire others by role modelling solutions capabilities and a passion for client impact.
  • Continue to develop proficiency by deepening and broadening own expertise.

Skills & Experience

  • You have typically a relevant advanced degree (e.g. Masters, Doctorate or equivalent) plus significant (12+ years) relevant work experience in a top tier professional services firm or boutique firm with a focus on Reward and/or Pensions. Candidates currently working in an end-responsible Total Reward function are also considered.
  • You are an acknowledged expert in Benefits / Pensions (while also being conversant in other service offerings of the firm)
  • You have demonstrated sales and account management expertise and you have a relevant network which you can leverage.
  • You know everything about the “Pensioenakkoord” and you have a strong motivation to help employers with the upcoming challenges in this field.
  • You look broader than Pensions and Benefits only, you have a strong interest in strategic HR and Total Reward strategies.
  • You understand the leadership and organizational issues faced by C-Suite and HR executives and are able to engage as a peer with these leaders, act as a trusted advisor and place our services in their particular business situation or context.
  • You get energy from working with people and naturally, you put the team and colleagues first.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English.
