Job Description & Summary

Do you currently have experience in special management, or with distressed M&A, difficult refinancing, insolvency or operational restructuring and are you looking for a new challenge? What does your work look like?

Within the Business Restructuring Services team you advise under-performing Dutch and European companies on restructuring, refinancing, accelerated mergers and acquisitions and insolvency options – finding the best way forward for the business and its stakeholders. From family-run organisations to major listed multinationals, you help underperforming businesses, and those with interests in them, understand and solve their problems. That might mean coming up with strategies to turn the company around, restructure its debt/capital structure, operations, or guiding it through an insolvency process. 

As Manager BRS you have a varied job in a growing team in which you take a managerial role and have direct customer contact and link with various stakeholders (banks, companies, PE and receivers). You always work together in sub teams with team members of different function levels. You will have the opportunity to contribute to all aspects of the restructuring processes so that you learn a lot and grow in your role on both a professional and personal level. If you join our team, you will work intensively with 30 colleagues from junior to partner level. You also interact a lot with PwC colleagues from Tax, Assurance and other Deals teams. In this way, our customers always receive the specialist information they need to make the right decision. Whether the client needs advice or assistance with an operational restructuring or refinancing, we are always there.

Who are you?

You are a professional with a strong financial basis, can handle financial models and cash flow forecasts well. You are also motivated and convinced of your important role in advising companies in need. You have strong communication skills and are able to connect and build effective relationships, even under pressure;

You also have:

  • At least five years of relevant work experience (in financial or operational restructuring, corporate finance, leveraged finance or strategy consulting);

  • You have excellent financial analytical skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience with data analytics is an advantage;

  • You are strong in drafting reports and your presentation skills and knowledge of PowerPoint are good;

  • You have excellent Dutch and English language skills;

  • You like to travel occasionally for work (mainly Western Europe).
