Due to growth of our location consulting practice, BCI in the Netherlands is looking for:

Consultants Location Strategy and Site Selection (f/m)

Since the foundation of our company in 1985, BCI has been supporting hundreds of companies around the globe in a variety of industries including a.o.: Life Sciences, Business Services, Industrial Products, Automotive, Electronics, Food & Beverages, High Tech, and Logistics. 

Questions we help our corporate clients to answer are for example: 

• What is the optimal location for our new manufacturing plant? Shared services center? Distribution center? Data center?
• What should be our company’s optimal location footprint: where should we have production plants, offices, distribution centers?
• Do we expand in our current locations or do we need to invest in a new location?
• Is re-shoring (production back from Asia to Europe or the US) an option for our company? Which scenarios are relevant for us? 

In addition to working with leading multinational companies, BCI also offers services for local, regional and national economic development agencies/investment promotion agencies, including strategy development and compiling marketing & acquisition plans for attracting international investors. 

Key in the BCI approach is to add value to our clients by means of providing fact-based analysis, use of analytics combined with our strong International experience with a pragmatic attitude and the ability to implement the proposed recommendations.

The job of the consultant is to execute consulting projects as described above for our clients 

Key activities include:

• Project execution as part of a BCI project team
• Project management (depending on starting level of experience)
• Quantitative and qualitative data analysis (location analysis, scenario modelling)
• Presentation and report development
• Client communication
• Contributing to internal BCI process improvements as well as marketing initiatives

Job requirements:

• A degree in (Business) Economics, Economic Geography, Business Management or another relevant discipline
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
• Excellent Powerpoint and Excel skills (any additional data analysis / tools skills are a plus)
• 4+ years of relevant working experience
• Experience and affinity with the international business and investment arena
  Client service mind-set and can-do attitude
• Excellent verbal and writing skills in English
• Work permit for The Netherlands
• Domicile in The Netherlands
• Affinity with manufacturing and supply chain topics is regarded a plus
