We are looking for a driven marketeer to support our (international) growth ambitions (focus on German & Swiss market and our data practice). Job purpose
As Growth Marketeer you are responsible for shaping and executing SparkOptimus’ marketing strategy. Your role is to be the linking pin between our commerce and our marketing efforts. To do so, you will work closely with commercial teams (Partners & Associate Partners), consultant teams, and the Content Marketeer. You will use various marketing tools and channels to reach our (potential) clients. Goal is to further build awareness of our brand, establish authority in our fields of expertise, and support lead generation. You will also be responsible for setting up and optimizing marketing campaigns and for the organization and facilitation of several in-house events throughout the year.

Team & reporting lines

  • You will report to the Marketing & Sales coordinators (Associate Partner & Senior Partner at SparkOptimus)
  • You will work together with and lead our Content Marketeer on a daily basis
  • You will collaborate with SparkOptimus consultants on ad-hoc basis

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

  • Shaping SparkOptimus’ marketing strategy: ambition, channel and content strategy, budget, marketing year plan, and quarterly updates (together with Content Marketeer and Marketing & Sales coordinators)
  • Setting up structured campaigning, translating commercial ideas (commercial year plan, marketing calendar) into specific campaigns
  • Setting up a structured test & learn way of working / process to continuously improve campaigning Using data to deliver effective targeted campaigns on the right channels
  • Driving innovation, using new technological possibilities to continuously improve the marketing initiatives
  • Improving email effectiveness continuously for email campaigns
  • Identifying, prioritizing, and supporting in the execution of relevant (offline) marketing activities such as public speaking opportunities and networking events
  • Managing the planning and execution of in-house events
  • Setting up and improving our marketing processes

  • ROI on all (online) marketing channels and underlying KPIs
  • Lead generation
  • Successful events
  • Adoption of marketing tools by senior stakeholders in our marketing and sales process
  • Smooth running of data-driven operations

Requirements

In short:

  • You have an understanding of what management consultants do, what is important to our clients, and are able to translate this into marketing and sales efforts.
  • You are analytically and conceptually strong, able to create smart strategies & tactics, and are comfortable with analyzing data in order to set up and optimize marketing efforts.
  • You have a pragmatic way of working and are not afraid to get your hands dirty.
  • You are up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends and opportunities on digital marketing and have a good balance between conceptual (why) and operational marketing knowledge (how) to get things done.

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in (B2B) marketing, preferably in professional service; or 1+ years of experience in strategy consulting
  • Experience in performance marketing in a B2B environment is preferred
  • You know your way around Google Analytics, Ad-words, Mailchimp (or are willing and able to learn)
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint (able to translate insights into plans & action and clearly communicate on this)
  • Demonstrable knowledge on data-driven marketing management is a strong pre, but we value intrinsics (eagerness to learn and analytical skills) over prior experience
  • Experienced with PR management preferred
