This challenging job calls for someone with a background in IT or computer science who are keen to work with state-of-the-art technology in the Digital Identity sector. You can combine this part-time job with a study, course or sport.

You will be a fully-fledged member of our Digital Identity Team in the Cybersecurity, Privacy & Forensics business unit. As a DevOps Engineer at PwC, you will be involved in programming, configuration, problem analysis, writing tests, installation, writing documentation and reports, and other matters. Our work setting is cutting edge, open and non-hierarchical. Your workplace will vary: you will work at the client’s premises, at PwC’s offices, or at home.

Who are you?

You

  • have a bachelor's degree in information science, computer science or similar programme, (or get your degree within a year);
  • are passionate about IT and can explain a few things about one or more of the following: Java, SQL, Linux/Unix/Cloud environments, APIs, DevOps, and so on. You might even show us your projects in your GitHub account;
  • are available for a minimum of six months, with an average of 16 hours a week during office hours on site and 8 hours a week outside office hours for both scheduled and unscheduled tasks (on stand-by).
  • are prepared to work on stand-by; this will be an important part of your work;
  • would like to develop your professional and social skills;
  • have excellent communication skills in English.

What can you expect?

Two days a week you travel to your client (for example a financial institution in Amsterdam) to develop the Digital Identity system and keep it running, i.e. install a number of necessary updates. On top of those 16 hours a week (in the office or on location), you will also work an average of 8 hours outside office hours. Whitin which will have scheduled and unscheduled tasks while on stand-by. When you are on stand-by, you can attend classes or even simply game, as long as the client can reach you easily.
