Job Description & Summary

Do you want to grow, make an impact, get the best out of yourself and your colleagues and do you have your own view on topics such as governance, risk management and compliance? Then you are the manager we are searching for.

What you will do

As manager Risk Consulting, you will work on the clients’ premises to help our prestigious (and international) clients in the commercial market. At PwC, we support our clients in achieving their goals by working together with them. We take their strategy as our starting point to identify opportunities and risks that represent a threat to their strategic targets and advise on how to best manage/exploit them. Projects you will work on could be: integrating risk management with performance management, developing and implementing a (IT) control framework, stimulating risk awareness or embedding risk management in the planning and control cycle, or managing an IT compliance remediation program. You will mainly work in the field of enterprise risk management (ERM), operational risk management (ORM) and information risk management (IRM). In your role, you will specifically focus on the commercial market (CIPS). At PwC, we use this term for all organizations that are operating in the sectors of Energy, Utilities & Renewables, Construction, Consumer, Industrial Products and Services. Needless to say, you will work for a variety of organizations.

Besides your work for clients, you are actively involved in business development and contribute to publications. Next to that, you will organize events for clients to discuss the future of the risk field and its challenges and opportunities. You will also build a network within PwC and gain experience working across the multiple disciplines that make up our services. At PwC, we strive for an environment where you will continuously improve your professional knowledge and advisory skills.

To provide our clients with state-of-the-art solutions, we leverage the most recent technologies (e.g. Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Smart Automations and Blockchain). Naturally, this position requires a constant focus on technology, innovation and change management. We are looking for someone that enjoys the challenge that comes with creating and building new ideas, concepts and solutions.

Who are you?

  • You have completed a Master’s program, preferably in Business Economics, Business Science, (Financial) Economics, or (Business) IT. A completion of a post-graduate program (e.g. RC, RE) and/or achievement of certain certifications (e.g. CISA, CISM) is an advantage.
  • You have a minimum of 6 years relevant risk-related and/or internal control experience.
  • You have your own network in the Dutch market in risk or internal control related fields.
  • It is an advantage if you have experience with S4HANA, SAP GRC and SAP CFIN, especially within the area of security, configuration, controls and authorizations.
  • You have experience in the commercial sector.
  • You are innovative and entrepreneurial, and you are eager to make an active contribution to digitalisation and the utilisation of emerging technologies such as data analytics and robotics.
  • You are a team player
  • You are at your best in an international work setting. You have an excellent command of Dutch and English.

What are we offering?

We will devote much attention to your personal and technical development. New employees soon get to join our professionals at clients and are immediately involved on a strategic level.

  • A competitive compensation package
  • An outstanding package of employee and fringe benefits, including:
    • 32 days of holiday leave
    • Maternity/paternity leave
    • Partly non-contributory pension
    • iPhone & laptop
    • Lease car or allowance for waiving a lease car
  • Excellent opportunities for training
  • Flexible working hours
  • An opportunity to work abroad and gain international experience
  • The opportunity to contribute to several internal projects such as corporate responsibility, several specific networks, diversity, innovation and/or recruitment.
  • A large variety of social activities such as sport activities, ski trip, Friday afternoon drinks

Testimonial; a day in the life of a Manager Risk Consulting at PwC

Jason Tan, Manager - “There is never a dull moment as a manager at PwC, as every single day is different. It is such a dynamic environment where we help clients to solve a variety of problems and where you need to learn how to deal with various stakeholders and how to quickly adapt to new situations. With our team, we are continuously striving to make a difference for the client. This might sound stressful, but it is the complete opposite, as there is more than plenty of room for fun and laughter within the teams.”
