Senior Associates


A blend of talents and skills is required of successful Senior Associate candidates, including:

  • An advanced degree, such as a MBA or PhD;
  • Minimal of 4 years relevant industry or functional work experience showing strong career progression and (academic) achievement;
  • Practical experience in one or more of the following:
    • Strategy or strategic planning;
    • Strategic project leadership;
    • Organizational restructuring/transformation;
    • Finance or business operations;
    • Business development, marketing, or sales.
  • Flexible, powerful intellect;

Senior Associates work with clients through all stages of consulting projects: identifying the major issues that the client is facing, generating hypotheses against those issues, structuring and performing analyses, identifying creative but pragmatic options against the identified issues, developing conclusions, making strategic recommendations, and then developing plans to operationalize the agreed strategy. As a Senior Associate you are often end to end responsible for a work stream within the project working directly with Strategy& and client team members. You might manage a team of consultants and you will work across a variety of industries and often at the client site. Travel can be a part of the job.
