The Executive Pay & Governance practice

Executive Pay is under a perpetual spotlight - continuously scrutinized by shareholders, politicians, the media, employees, customers and suppliers. It is imperative that organizations get this right to ensure stakeholder trust and establish a functional compensation strategy that starts right at the top. We support remuneration committees as they engage with shareholders and other stakeholders, assist with technical implementation and communication, and build Executive Pay frameworks that align with current and future business strategies. 

The Position & Key Accountabilities

Our Dutch Executive Pay & Governance practice in Amsterdam is seeking an ambitious and eager recent M.Sc. graduate who is intrinsically motivated to work on challenging assignments related to Executive, Senior Management and Supervisory Board compensation. You will be part of a high-performing team and work directly with various top experts in the industry.

You will:

  • Develop deeper expertise in Executive Pay & Governance solutions, e.g. compensation packages, long-term and short-term incentive plans, retention and severance packages;
  • Build a balance of technical, operational, compliance and client relationship responsibilities;
  • Prepare proposals, reports and memos;
  • Perform industry and financial research; related to compensation strategy review and development;
  • Conduct analysis of peer group composition, compensation levels, design and structure;
  • Conduct IFRS 2 valuations and Total Shareholder Return performance monitoring.

Skills & Experience 

  • A (recently obtained) Master’s degree in Econometrics, (Quantitative) Finance, Economicswith excellent grades;
  • Maximum 2 years of working experience;
  • Strong data and quantitative analysis capabilities;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Keen eye for detail;
  • Fluent English (required)/ Dutch (preferred).
