We are currently seeking an ambitious and highly motivated Senior Manager - Supply Chain & Operations to lead client engagement teams,  and participate in business development activities on selected strategic and global priority accounts to drive growth. Our Supply Chain & Operations team members focus on  supply chain transformations covering Planning, Procurement, Operations and Logistics and often integrating with other competencies (Finance, IT, etc.) to deliver robust and cost competitive end-to-end solutions to clients. This team focuses on helping clients transforming  their supply chains in order to improve their business performance.
 
For our growing Supply Chain & Operations practice in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Senior Manager to join our team, with experience in one or more of our focus areas, which are:
 
  • Planning – Assists clients in designing, implementing and optimizing Planning operating models and solutions including Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning, S&OP and Inventory Management. This can include aligning procurement, production, distribution and fulfillment activities of a company on a timely basis within the lowest cost. Planning is cross functional in nature and requires significant collaboration within the company as well as with the trading partners such as key customers and suppliers. Planning brings together finance, product development, marketing, sales, manufacturing and supply chain together to minimize risks and capitalize on opportunities to deliver the maximum shareholder value. Knowledge and experience of design and implementation of Planning global and regional Hubs and Planning Center of Excellence is a must.
  •  Procurement – Assists clients in designing, implementing and transforming their  Procurement function, including Strategic Sourcing and Category Management, Procure to Pay, Supplier Risk Management, Commercial Excellence, Contract Management and Procurement Operating Model Design and Implementation. You may also work to support implementation of Procurement technologies such as cloud procurement solutions, robotics process automation within Procurement, etc.
  • Logistics - Assists clients with performance improvement related to the planning and execution of the flow of goods, information, and cash between sourcing locations, intermediate stocking and processing locations, to the point of consumption in order to address customer requirements. Service offers include logistics strategy, network design, global trade effectiveness, cost to serve analytics, logistics operating model transformation, control tower, warehouse management, transportation management, reverse logistics, and outsourcing.

Position
As a Senior Manager your key role will be to lead large and complex transformational client engagements. Drawing on your knowledge, skills and experience, you will establish, grow and sustain valued relationships with external clients at the senior leadership level. You will lead large global and regional bids, proposals and thought leadership. You will lead teams at our clients, supporting them with shaping and executing their business transformation agendas to improve their business performance. You will be responsible for presenting executive summary findings to enact change. You will manage multiple EY colleagues across levels and client team members ensuring their work is of high quality. You will mentor others as they progress in their own career.
 
Other important parts of your role are:
 
  • Effectively manage and motivate client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds while providing constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members
  • Actively establishing, maintaining and strengthening internal and external relationships at the ‘’C’’ level
  • Be a champion of diversity and inclusion within your project teams
  • Identify opportunities proactively across accounts and work with others to drive them forward
  • Anticipate and identify risks early and managing those risks with input from others on the team
  • In line with our commitment to quality, you'll determine that work is of high quality and present findings to senior executive client stakeholders
  • As a leader in the team, you'll create a positive learning culture and will coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop
  • Be an active leader in developing all team members

Profile
For this position we would like to get in touch with Professionals who have a passion for the above topics and possess:

 

Required

  • Approximately 8+ years of work experience in one or more of the focus areas described above, with a proven record of transformational experience to achieve positive outcomes and change in the organization
  • Approximately 3+ years of recent experience within a consulting environment
  • A bachelor’s degree preferably with the emphasis in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or Logistics with strong academic records
  • Demonstrated record of working with ‘’C’’ level individuals at large multinational companies
  • Fluent in English both written and verbally
  • Experience managing, mentoring and coaching others
  • Experience in selling and delivering projects that cover the full lifecycle of assessment, design and implementation support
  • Strong analytical skills, conceptual thinking, communication and influencing skills
  • A proven ability to team effectively with diverse groups
  • Strong software skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Microsoft Visio
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A willingness to travel internationally to meet client needs
Preferred
  • Additional European language skills– particularly Dutch or French
  • A master’s degree with emphasis in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or Logistics with strong academic records
  • A Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt

Certifications in Planning, Procurement, Logistics or Manufacturing or other areas of Supply Chain
