What does working for a client at Supply Value entail?

As a government procurement consultant, you will independently or collaboratively execute assignments for our clients within the public sector. In the role of (operational) procurement consultant, contract or supplier manager, or tender expert, you will actively contribute to procuring various products and services and managing their contracts. You will use our knowledge and tools to support your professional work.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with our clients’ needs.
• Conducting (European) tender procedures and contract negotiations.
• Managing relationships with suppliers and evaluating supplier performance.
• Advising clients on legal and compliance issues related to procurement processes.
• Analyzing market developments and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Engaging with clients such as municipalities, provinces, ministries, execution organizations like DUO, the tax authorities, or entities like NS or ProRail.

What you bring:

• 3-5 years of experience as a buyer in the public sector, with demonstrable experience in tender procedures and contract management.
• A completed HBO or WO degree, preferably in a relevant field such as Business Economics, Business Administration, or Procurement Management.
• Competencies including analytical skills, proactivity, problem-solving ability, decisiveness, results orientation, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of relevant procurement laws and regulations, such as the Public Procurement Act.
• Experience with European tenders is a plus.
• Certifications such as NEVI or similar procurement-related certificates are a plus.
