Role and responsibilities

As HR Manager you will be leading our HR team – which consists of you, and a HR Administrator – and participate in the Management Team of Ecorys Nederland. 

The role will include but is not limited to:

• Managing all core HR areas, including payroll, employee relations, HR admin, learning and development, recruitment and onboarding. 
• Providing advice and direction where needed to the HR team on work priorities, budget and staff resources, strategic, policy, organisation and staff management issues.
• Managing the implementation of employment policies ensuring these are kept in line with employment law and HR best practice.
• Driving our objectives on equity, inclusion, diversity and building staff communities.
• Continuously improving engagement and welfare activities, maximising productivity, devolving HR responsibilities to line managers and building leadership capability. 
• Identifying HR trends so that attention can be directed to key issues and resources.
• Engaging effectively and proactively with the NL management team, senior leaders and line/team managers across a matrix and hybrid business operating across a wider group of offices internationally. 
• Managing the allocation of HR budgets.
• Ensuring current regulation compliance, including accepted professional standards, policies and procedures and legislation (including legislation on data protection, the Equality Act and health and safety). 
• Collaborating with HR functions across the rest of Ecorys to drive global people initiatives and people KPIs

You will also have the opportunity to work with the HR teams of Ecorys UK and Ecorys Brussels, you will drive towards a more integrated Ecorys global HR policies and procedures. For example, a global performance review and reward process, an internal mobility scheme for staff between operating entities of Ecorys and our Global Ecorys Academy. 

What you bring

We seek a professional with a strong HR background:

• Relevant education (HBO or university degree)
• Minimum of 8 to 10 years’ HR experience 
• Proven management experience
• Experience in an international organisation 
• Fluent in English and Dutch (speaking and writing)
• Knowledge of the relevant NL labour regulations
• Affinity with the Ecorys work on key societal challenges, our mission and vision 
• Strong communication skills and emphatic ability 
• Creativity and innovative mind-set 
• This is a part time, hybrid role working 4 days per week.
