The sky’s the limit with cloud computing, so you’ll need to use skills of virtualisation, containerisation, and orchestration using tools like Kubernetes and Docker to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions. We pride ourselves on our secure, compliant, efficient and well-optimised cloud solutions. You’ll feel at home working with cloud-native development, serverless architectures, and DevOps practices. To take cloud adoption to its fullest extent, you’ll use your analytical and governance skills, problem-solving abilities, and cross-functional team collaboration to drive innovation and efficiency in cloud environments.
Our Cloud Engineers specialize in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with our broader IT ecosystem to align with our business objectives. With a focus on scalability, security, and performance, you'll architect, implement, and maintain cloud environments while diagnosing issues, optimizing resources, and documenting processes meticulously. Our cloud engineers are passionate about automation and staying up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies. In your daily work, you’ll be proactive in identifying and resolving challenges, ensuring high availability and cost-efficiency. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and pay close attention to detail, delivering solutions that meet Sopra Steria’s rigorous quality standards.

Education: you have completed a HBO education in the direction of IT
Languages: Dutch (required) and English
You have knowledge and experience of the following:
- Platform technologies: Kubernetes, OpenShift, Cloud native (lambda’s, functions)
- Ecosystems: Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, RedHat
- Infrastructure-as-code: Terraform, Bicep, Ansible
- Observability: Grafana, Prometheus, Open Telemetry, Dynatrace
- Software delivery: Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab
- Application deployment: GitOps, HELM, ArgoCD
- Security: SonarCloud, Snyk, Checkmarx, Dependency Track, Gitlab Ultimate
- Way of working: Dev(sec)ops, SRE
