Cloud Data Engineering Senior Manager

The work

As a Cloud Engineering senior manager, your main responsibility revolves around drafting and communicating a long-term vision on Accenture’s global cloud strategy. You work autonomously and collaborate across the eco-system to ensure Accenture’s cloud strategy is executed. As a representative for Accenture, you interact on executive level with external stakeholders like our clients and Technology partners. You balance technical expertise with business acumen. This enables you to take on sales responsibilities and work together with our bid teams to propose sustainable, compelling, and competitive solutions involving public and private cloud component(s), which demonstrate significant and quantifiable business value to the client.

You have deep conceptual and technological expertise and can communicate the ‘why’ of Technology to our clients, our sales and delivery leads as well as work with our (distributed) development teams and get the projects delivered.

• Technology Our colleagues in the services-based Technology group help clients, both big and small, by revolutionizing their strategic blueprints for IT transformations.

Working closely alongside clients and an international team of professionals, you develop innovative solutions based on their roadmaps. You work on the latest technology developments and have extensive conceptual and technical knowledge on Analytics, Data Lakes, Lakehouse, Data Fabric, Data Warehousing and Machine Learning. You will stay informed about the latest technology and industry trends, which enables you to further enhance Accenture’s offerings or develop new features for clients together with your Accenture and vendor ecosystem. Besides this you will be able to participate in public speaking: you represent Accenture and it’s cloud platform strategy during seminars, round table conversations.

Here’s what you’ll need

• Exceptional written and spoken skills in Dutch & English

• Proven Cloud Architecture certification track records across from AWS, GCP or Azure

• Extensive knowledge and experience designing and implementing the following:

• Large-scale and complex cloud data architectures (Lambda and Kappa)

• Cloud hyperscalers, such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Service (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Data management and best practices e.g., how to handle sensitive data, data modeling (techniques)

• Experience in working in agile environments using Scrum, SAFe and DevOps

• Experience with business development where you have identified and pursued potential business opportunities and/or conducted sales presentations/demo’s

Bonus points if you have

• A clear vision on Data & AI, what direction the capability will move towards and are able to share this vision to both your colleagues and our clients.

• You have 7+ years of proven experience in architecting, designing, or implementing cloud data architectures, preferably with an architectural exposure to digital transformations.

• You have 7+ years of proven experience in a senior consulting capacity or senior project management roles, where you built and maintained strong relationships with the client.

• Experience in leading teams: supporting professional growth, inspire the team on innovation and emerging technologies, identifying training needs and evaluating performance/providing feedback to team members.

• Experience with setting up current state assessment, operating models, value case, roadmap, and blueprint in the Data & AI landscape.
