Data Science Specialist AI / Gen AI

Synechron is seeking an entrepreneurial Data Scientist that helps shape the AI and GenAI solutions for our clients. You have strong technical skills to engage with business data consumers and translate their needs into feasible solutions. You have strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams within Synechron around topics such as: Know Your Customer & AML, Sustainable Finance, Compliance etc. At Synechron your role will be to design and implement systems with in-built financial domain knowledge.

In the Netherlands you will work alongside 150+ colleagues in the Amsterdam office, which is considered as a center for global excellence in business consulting. We solve complex business challenges through a combination of Business Consulting, Design, Cloud, Data, and Engineering, servicing an array of top Dutch banks. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Synechron’s (international) practices to understand client requirements and identify (Gen)AI opportunities;
• Engage with clients to understand their data-related challenges and translate these to data-driven solutions;
• Analyze and/or clean data sets to make data ready for usage in data science solutions;
• Build and train AI models using various techniques, algorithms and frameworks;
• Deploy AI solutions and provide ongoing support to ensure optimal performance;
• Engage with clients to showcase the value and benefits of AI solutions, and provide technical guidance and expertise;
• Design, develop, and implement in-house prototypes (i.e. Accelerators) showcasing potential data science solutions to clients;
• Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and Large Language Model technologies;

Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with designing, deploying and maintaining AI systems
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail;
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with clients and cross-functional teams;
• Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, PySpark, R, or Java;
• Demonstratable experience with at least one advanced machine learning application: natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and/or other deep learning techniques;
• Experience with cloud platforms (especially Azure but also AWS, GCP etc.) and big data technologies (Databricks) is a plus;
