Our Accenture Song office in Amsterdam is looking for a junior Business Designer to join our Business Design team. This role requires a unique blend of creative thinking, business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset.

The strategists, pragmatists and creative thinkers on our Business Design team establish human-centric business strategies for our clients, using both design and strategy to structure the business impact of design at a strategic, operational and organizational level. As a Business Designer, you will support business design activities throughout engagements at the project level. It’s your chance to influence and shape the impact design has on the world – design is the problem-solving paradigm of our age, and business design is our way of shaping that impact. That being said, you will act as a bridge between the 4 pillars of successful innovation: desirability, viability, feasibility and adaptability.

Your job

As a junior Business Designer, you:

• Are familiar with the innovation funnel, you know how to take a promising idea from intuition and analysis into market launch and scale-up phase.

• Are passionate about trying out new things and experimenting with new tools and methods rather than focusing on best practices, you use ambiguity and uncertainty to your advantage to generate innovative outcomes.

• Can’t stop talking about innovative startups and technological innovations, and love to get inspired and inspire others with new business model examples.

• Have a strong strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills that balance with creative design approaches.

• Are able to move between the innovation lenses (desirability, viability and feasibility)

• Support business design activities including client workshops, stakeholder interviews, business intelligence gathering and creative brainstorms.

• Research materials from a wide variety of client materials, interviews, external sources, analytics and data sources to build a business background point of view.

• Have sound knowledge of the business design landscape, including but not limited to design intelligence, measurement, KPIs, organizational change, venturing, design storytelling, design thinking, culture change, coaching, business/investment case generation and product management.

Your background

• MSc degree, preferably in the area of strategic product design, innovation management, strategic entrepreneurship, business administration or business economics.

• Fluency or basic experience in at least two of the following areas and methodologies: business model innovation, value proposition design, lean startup, frame innovation, venture design, design thinking, human-centered design, strategy design.

• You are a team player.

• Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

• You work independently, have a hands-on mentality and take responsibility.
