Your job

As part of our growing Technology Strategy & Advisory team, we are looking for a Data & Analytics Manager, ideally in the Retail and Consumer Goods & Services industry. You will work in multidisciplinary teams on C-level projects, often owning the C-level relationships and steering your own team or workstream. You shape the transformation of our clients towards a data driven and digital organization and you understand the most important challenges they face. You advise clients to become successful in their transformation through analysis and your extensive experience. You work on a client’s data & analytics strategic direction, (re)organization, governance, and optimization of their investments. You will directly contribute to strategic plans and deliver visible contributions to clients.

Within our Technology Strategy & Advisory team, your role will be to help clients transform successfully to stay ahead as information-driven digital organizations, by e.g.:

• Working short-cycled with industry and business specialists to develop comprehensive data & analytics strategies, including data & analytics opportunity assessment, operating model, architecture, investment portfolio management and more – in line with their business strategies, digital and technology strategies, overall enterprise architectures and company cultures
• Partnering with the client’s leadership to provide strategic recommendations to maximize the value of data & analytics
• Helping clients to get executive sponsorship for data & analytics and embed data & analytics in their operations
• Providing the thought leadership on and actively participating in the development and evolution of Data & Analytics capability, incl. organization and way of working, tech stack, governance, data literacy, data & analytics product and portfolio management, demand management and more
• Designing best-fitted delivery models to deliver value fast and at scale, and partnering with clients to execute them
• Applying data-driven methods to analyze our clients’ strategic challenges, solving complex problems, and helping them realize their business strategy through the right use of new technologies
• Advising and working with our clients to shape and execute business visions enabled by our extensive library of data & analytics assets, methods, and tools
• Contributing to our thought leadership at the intersection of business and technology
• Advising complex technology concepts and strategies easily towards clients and build lasting trusted relationships
• Utilize the power of One Accenture by leveraging the right teams from other disciplines such as Security, Technology, Operations, etc.
• Contributing to our practice and help the team grow and develop by e.g. participating and organizing events, creating points-of-view, and guiding junior consultants

Your background

• 5-8 years of experience in technology strategy, with predominant focus on data & analytics, preferably within a (strategy) consulting firm or similar
• Relevant experience with large scale digital and/or technology transformations with predominant focus on and proven track record in data & analytics journeys (multiple flavors of the journey: value definition and value realization, operating model, architecture, agile ways of working, delivery models, data literacy)
• Knowledge and experience in the retail and consumer goods & services industry, specifically on value pockets from data & analytics across the end-to-end value chain
• Strong knowledge and experience in newest data & analytics concepts, both on the operating model (ways of working, governing, delivering) and technology (architecture, tech stack)
• Knowledge and experience in key data & analytics technologies and in collaborating with key data & analytics (tech and solution) players
• Strong consulting skills, e.g., solid financial and business acumen, structured and abstract thinking, analytical and creative problem solving, project management, prioritizing, communication, and stakeholder management
• Knowledge on latest technology advancements (in a certain technology area and/or industry) based on previous experience and interest in the latest innovations
• Leadership qualities: the ability to easily establish trust-based relationships and gain valuable insights through collaboration and communication
• Drive: you enjoy a challenge, proven ability to adapt and remove obstacles to achieve results, determination and optimism
• Team spirit: you enjoy working in a team and coaching junior team members
• Entrepreneurial; proven entrepreneurship and ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• First class written and verbal communication skills (Dutch and English); the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical and impactful manner
