The Mazars Global Audit & Assurance team is seeking for Officers to participate in the creation and daily management of a services center in Morocco. The Officers will be responsible for delivering, with their team, high quality work to support our audit business.

Reporting directly to the Director in charge of the services center, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Joining and participating actively in the management of a 50+ people team,
  • Performing audit procedures in accordance with our Audit methodology and instructions received from engagement teams,
  • Monitoring daily progress on engagements,
  • Coaching, training and mentoring the services center team,
  • Supervising and reviewing work performed by associates on selected engagements to ensure deliverables comply with high-quality standards,
  • Being a strong team player and having meticulous attention to detail,
  • Nurturing regular communication with the Director of the platform, the engagement teams and the services center team,
  • Demonstrating dedication and resilience to meet deadlines and deliver expected work on time.

REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for Officers who are proactive, dedicated, and very organised individuals who have the enthusiasm and willingness to learn and share their knowledge with others. Skills requested are the followings:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in audit,
  • Strong academic background with fluency in English (both written and oral) is a must, French or German or Dutch abilities will be a strong plus.
  • Proven experience in performing audit procedures on multiple financial statement areas,
  • Very good communication, managerial and interpersonal skills,
  • Experience in supervising several auditors and large teams in parallel,
  • Advanced knowledge in primary accounting frameworks, E.g. IFRS and related financial reporting matters. Knowledge in UK GAAP would be beneficial but not essential,
  • Good technical skills and experience in the application of auditing standards,
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities,
  • Openness to innovation and strong appetite for implementation of new processes and digital solutions,
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Forms),
