The Teams Voice Technical Lead is a highly skilled senior role with industry leading technical expertise to support one or more Product Managers. The Teams Voice Tech Lead has a deep end to end understanding of all technical aspects of the service and is the key integration point with other products/services.
Your key responsibilities
The Technical Lead in Teams Voice:
- Bridges service components across on premise and cloud, and across vendors, GDS and other supplying teams
- Manages the technical dependencies across the different products and services
- Drives the Teams Voice product portfolio strategy and long-term product roadmaps utilizing resources in the Architecture and Experience team, engineers, operations, and vendor experts
- Owns and initiates all innovation for the Teams Voice products
- Directs and oversees all architecture and engineering activities in service delivery and service deployment utilizing our Architecture, GDS and vendor organizations
- Acts as the last escalation point for major service outage resolutions
- Actively maintains his/her technical skills and expertise and intimate understanding of vendor product roadmaps using NDAs etc
- Directs & owns technical resolution of overall vulnerabilities and risks for the Teams Voice products

To qualify for the role you must have
- Strong background for engineering and architectural design of Unified Communications with a focus on Microsoft Teams and Teams PSTN configurations
- Deep understanding of MS Teams core services, features, and feature management
- Deep understanding of data governance, data storage, and multi geo service availability
- History of working credibly with senior stakeholders
- Adapts personal communication style to the style of others, develops rapport and stays calm under pressure or escalating issues using advanced oral and written English communication skills.
- Strong verbal and written skills including strong cross-cultural communication and the ability to draft effective communications
- Ability to work with people in a variety of cultures, countries and time zones
- Utilizes all aspects of Emotional Intelligence to navigate the interactions and complexities of the business environment and drive leadership performance in oneself and in others.
- Brings proven industry leading technical expertise of the product(s)
- Good understanding of the financial aspects of the product(s)
- 5-10 years’ experience in an Architecture or Engineering role
- Passionate, committed and determined
- The role may also require the periodic allocation of additional time on the job to support multiple demands and escalating issues and some travel to support change or planned project activities.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Bachelor or Master degree in Information Technology or Business Management
- Approximately 10 years of experience in a comparable executive leadership role
- Industry technical certification for the relevant product(s) are required.
