The Opportunity


The talent landscape is changing rapidly, and EY’s GTA²S team exists to ensure that we can continue to engage, attract and retain the world’s most exceptional and diverse talent. Collaborating with our Regional, Area and Global leadership teams across EMEIA and APAC the team delivers an integrated, agile and insights driven approach to Executive and Experienced Hire Recruitment initiatives.

Talent Insights is a distinct in-house research, advisory and analytics team that exists within the GTA²S construct that enables information and insights-based decision making through a variety of services and solutions that are offered directly to a range of EY stakeholders (Recruitment Leaders, HR & Knowledge Practitioners, Talent and Business leaders). Key assets and outputs from the team seek to influence and inform talent strategy typically answering research questions related to:

  • Talent sourcing intelligence
  • Location strategy
  • Skills and jobs analysis
  • Broader Workforce/labour market dynamics

The Global Talent Insights Lead is a key position responsible for leading the day-to-day development of the Talent Insights function, creating and developing an offering with stakeholders that recognises the strategic importance of market and talent intelligence. Specifically, there is an opportunity for the Talent Insights function to be directed at increasingly complex talent problems, focussed on providing insights that influence talent attraction strategy and, in turn, impact the tactical aspects of identifying, engaging and attracting talent to the firm (across all levels, service lines and geographies).

About You


You will have a passion and ability to combine and analyse sources of information about the external talent landscape to support business decisions. You will have a natural curiosity around how talent decisions impact on business performance and an ability to ask the thought-provoking questions of business stakeholders to define research problems and project scope. You may currently or previously have worked in a corporate research, knowledge, people analytics or talent intelligence capacity delivering projects and developing talent intelligence products that can be utilised across the enterprise.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Act as trusted advisor to senior stakeholders (EY Partners, Corporate & Functional Leaders, Talent Leaders) with respects to talent insights to help the business make intelligent workforce decisions.
  • Operate as the focal point for Talent Insights activities using talent intelligence knowledge and experience to conduct applied talent research at scale, using both internal and external economic and talent data to build insights and recommendations.
  • Use a variety of research tools to generate and share research across multiple markets, functions, and service lines as appropriate.
  • Help establish and develop Talent Insight’s data architecture, governance and reporting capability.
  • Partner with EY Service Lines and Sub-Service Lines to incorporate key talent trends into business or operational strategies.
  • Build relationships and partner with fellow EY insights functions (Competitive Intelligence, Alliances, and People Data and Reporting Analytics) to co-structure talent solutions that require the sharing of specific datasets (e.g. employee performance and engagement data)
  • Coach and develop other members of the Talent Insights function, with involvement with team hiring activities when required.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Ideally, experience in corporate research, intelligence, talent analytics and consulting experience (ideally with experience of consulting with labour market intelligence). You may also have worked in Talent Acquisition previously and have a strong interest in talent analytics.
  • Experience managing projects or programmes that a have range of complexity with multiple cross-functional partners and stakeholders
  • You may have experience of scoping and delivering people/HR analytics projects critically analysing the associated datasets. Ideally, you will have experience of using quantitative and qualitative data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes
  • Understanding of the recruitment lifecycle with prior experience of both passive and active sourcing
  • Self-starting, entrepreneurial spirit with understanding of how to use data and calculated risk-taking to drive innovative change
  • Familiarity with a data visualisation tool (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau) alongside proficiency in MS-Office (MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint and MS-Word)
