The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a hyper-growth area of the market and EY’s Global Tax business.

Tax and Finance departments are going through a once-in-a-generation transformation to become digitized, so there is a great opportunity for innovation, influence and for any individual in this role with a technology background to make a significant impact, without the need to have a Tax and Finance background.

EY is increasingly working with clients of all sizes in the Tax and Finance space to leverage the Microsoft Power Platform suite of business intelligence and workflow applications to solve for a spectrum of various challenges and requirements that our clients are facing, for example, keeping up with continuously changing legislation across the globe.

The Microsoft Power Platform offers Tax and Finance departments an opportunity to rapidly digitize areas of their operations and compliance as well as enabling them to provide deep insights to the rest of the business such as the CFO without the need for significant additional technology cost or implementation.

EY is working closely with Microsoft as a key strategic Alliance partner in this space to ensure that we stay ahead of latest Power Platform functionality and features so that we can bring the best of available technology to our clients.

Your key responsibilities

Your role will be to:

  • Work collaboratively with EY clients in the Tax and Finance space to listen to their business challenges
  • Innovate to offer solutions to those business challenges by leveraging their existing investment in Microsoft’s suite of technologies, primarily the Power Platform, helping clients to explore the “art of the possible” through technology
  • Work with a team of experienced Microsoft developers, EY Tax Subject Matter Experts and our alliance partners to end-to-end manage and deliver solutions to our clients
  • Drive the roadmap and develpoment of “out-of-the-box” Power Apps and Power Automate connectors and workflows that are most relevant and repeatable for Tax and Finance departments
  • Train and challenge our EMEIA Tax business to continously think out of the box when it comes to leveraging the best that the Microsoft Power solutions have to offer to solve our clients challenges, and new and innovate ways that EY can take these to market. For example, through use of Microsoft’s App Source
  • Work with Microsoft as our key strategic alliance partner to align on go-to-market campaigns and activities and access pre-preview capabilities, roadmaps and functionalities to ensure we remain ahead of the market

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Technology Consulting and collaboration with substantial, complex clients being involved in several of the following activities: requirements gathering, fit/gap analysis, solution design, prototype demonstrations, testing, integration, data migration, training, post ‘go live’ support
  • Experience of implementing Microsoft Power Platform solutions for clients
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft technologies and how clients can derive value from their Microsoft investment
  • Good understanding of functional and process design and requirements
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Ability to translate business / functional requirements into technical solutions
  • Very good communication skills
  • An appetite for continuous learning
