In the heart of ABN AMRO’s agile global market environment, Murex specialists are supporting the banks ambition in processing the best deals for ABN AMRO’s clients in the complex landscape of financial products whilst utilizing a DevOps ways of working.

Global markets is at the heart of ABN AMRO’s Corporate & Institutional Banking department and advises clients on buying and selling complex financial products - for example, currency, stocks, bonds, commodities, energy, fixed-income and structured products. The global markets teams are responsible for executing all transactions for private, corporate and institutional ABN AMRO clients in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London and New York.

Murex within ABN AMRO
Murex is a leading global technology company with solutions for trading, treasury, risk and post-trade operations for financial markets. The IT Global Markets team is supporting the global markets team with extended Murex support. The team is responsible for all changes (business and/or technology driven) in Murex and pro-actively advises the global markets team on how to improve and optimize business processes.

Program Overview
Synechron has developed a unique one-year Young Professional Program together with ABN AMRO and MUREX. The program is specifically designed for recent graduates (a maximum of two years work experience) with a strong ambition and drive to have a career within the global markets environment. Thanks to our leading Murex position in the market, in-depth knowledge of financial services, and consulting experience, Synechron has the unique capability to give you in technical Murex expertise, broader IT and consulting skills and financial markets domain knowledge. Our partnership with ABN AMRO means that you can immediately put your new knowledge and skills into practice and make an impact in the global markets environment. After completion of the program, you will be part of ABN AMRO’s Global Markets team in Amsterdam and get the possibility of a permanent job-position within the bank.

The first month of the program will be in one of our international Murex development centers and after that you will have continuous training, knowledge sessions and coaching that will build your up working experience within ABN AMRO (location Amsterdam). Your gained knowledge will be assessed and awarded with the relevant diploma’s and certificates.

What we ask

• A Master’s degree, preferably in a technical area, with the right affinity for IT or markets environment e.g. Industrial Engineering (Technische Bedrijfskunde), (Business) Information Management, Finance, Computer Science, Math, Informatica, Econometrics etc.
• An affinity with IT and/or global markets environment
• An interest in Financial Services
• An awareness of Cloud technologies, Agile or DevOps is a preference
• Good communicator, entrepreneurial, analytical, ambitious and results-oriented
• Willingness to travel
• A basic level of understanding of the Dutch Language
• A team player, service oriented, and someone who enjoys working with customers and sharing knowledge with co-workers
