Over the past years, many companies have shifted their focus from short-term profits to a broader role in society, chasing long-term results and making a positive contribution. The high ambition levels on corporate social responsibility however do not always lead to real actions and results. To measure actual societal impact, support companies that lead the way and strengthen the dialogue on this topic, Management Scope, Erasmus University and Accenture have introduced the Corporate Impact Index: a ranking of Dutch companies and organizations by their positive impact on society (see:

Based on a data-driven approach using public information we assess a large number of companies on metrics covering governance, relation to society, sustainability, finance and role as employer. As a member of the team you will be responsible for the data analysis underlying the impact index and - together with our partners - create the ranking based on the latest information. You will work closely together with a team of Strategy Consultants that are jointly responsible for delivery of this project.

In this internship you will particularly perform the following tasks:

•Analysis of (public) data of the organizations in scope;
•Co-develop and improve methodology for the ranking;
•Conduct the data analysis to determine the ranking;
•Create insights based on the results (e.g trends, industry-specific differences) ;
•Develop presentations to communicate results and insights internally and externally;
•Prepare workshops and meetings (both internal and with our partners).

Place in the organization

You will be part of our Strategy Consulting practice; a quickly expanding and diverse team of around 200 consultants. You will be based at our office in the ‘Zuidas’ in Amsterdam. Globally there are 2000 Strategy Consultants working in 40 countries.

Are you the perfect candidate?

•You are a Master student, in the final year of your graduation from University, preferably with a specialization in the areas of: technology or (business) economics;
•You have excellent quantitative and analytical skills;
•You are a team player with excellent communication skills;
•You are a hard worker and able to work independently;
•You have (demonstrable) experience with both Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint;
•You are fluent in Dutch and English.
