JOIN OUR IN-HOUSE TEAM MANAGING RELATIONSHIPS WITH OUR CONSULTANTS AND WORKING WITH GREAT PEOPLE
This is a great opportunity for an individual with a background in top-tier management consulting to help drive the “people-engine” of the most successful independent consultant firm in the world. We want to build our in-house team by recruiting someone who has strong problem-solving skills, is great at multi-tasking, creative and has superb people skills. In return, we offer a chance to work with an amazing team of highly-motivated and professionally very accomplished consultants (all from world-class organisations) across multiple offices and for a fast-growing, innovative consulting company. Almost no business travel is required and office hours are full, but predictable.
About Eden McCallum
Eden McCallum is redefining management consulting. We support clients to resolve their most pressing issues of strategy, operations and organisation. Working with a group of 500+ independent consultants of the highest calibre, we have pioneered an approach that delivers tangible impact, client ownership, experienced teams and great value.
From our offices in Amsterdam, London and Zurich, we have over the last 15 years delivered over 1,200 projects for over 300 clients across 5 continents, including 40% of the Dutch AEX, a third of the UK’s FTSE 100, a third of the world’s largest private equity houses and 50 of the global Fortune 500. 85% of our work is for clients choosing to work with us again.
Our consultants have studied and worked at world-class institutions. Clients are impressed, not only by the skills, experience and raw smarts of Eden McCallum consultants, but also by their personality and commitment. They opt in to every project and focus on delivering great results, released from the internal demands of their traditional consulting firms.
We respond to our clients’ issues by listening and, as appropriate, translating these challenges into thoughtfully scoped projects. We shape teams with only the most relevant expertise and fit and support our consultants closely as they carry out the projects. And supported by our low cost base, we focus on delivering great value.
We are making consulting better for clients and for consultants. For this, we have been recognised with features in Harvard Business Review, The Economist, the Financial Times, Het Financieele Dagblad and WirtschaftsWoche, and by leading academics at Harvard Business School and London Business School.
Role of the Manager in Eden McCallum’s Consultant Team
Managers in Eden McCallum’s consultant team build our business with another set of key clients: our independent consultants. Sitting at the heart of our small, entrepreneurial teams in London and Amsterdam, Managers grow and develop our talent pool, deliver successful teams for our projects and manage excellent and enduring relationships with our consultants and our broader network. Working with the best of consulting colleagues, they collaborate across the business, particularly with our Client Partners, who focus on developing, scoping and managing the delivery of our projects for clients.
Managers have the opportunity to make rapid, high and rewarding impact on the growth of our firm and on the careers of the independent consultants with whom we work. Working within such a dynamic environment, also provides exciting opportunities for personal growth and development.
The role of the Eden McCallum Manager is focused on talent management: consultant recruiting, staffing and relationship management. These all present new and intriguing challenges compared to the same activities in a traditional consulting firm.
Our consultants are not employed by us, they have many choices and our success depends as much on projects being rewarding for them, as impactful for our clients. Delivering outstanding Eden McCallum teams involves creative problem solving, complex communications and negotiations, close collaboration with colleagues and a gift for building relationships based in trust. And because Eden McCallum’s reputation depends on the calibre of the consultants on our teams, Managers are pivotal in delivering our winning proposition to clients.
In addition to their core talent management roles, as part of our fast-developing business, Managers also work with the Partners to deliver strategic and operational improvement projects internally.
We are currently looking to grow our Amsterdam-based consultant team, adding a Manager, who’s responsibilities would cover talent management (consultant recruiting, staffing and relationship management) primarily in the Benelux, but who would also support our business development activities in London and Zurich as required.
