Business Information Manager – Specialty Coatings
This is a high level position in which you are responsible for the decision making, governance and overall steering of IM for Specialty Coatings, coordinating with senior stakeholders and senior management to expertly map their IT requirements.
The role requires you to work within a business model where the Demand and Supply/Production have their own focus and responsibilities. Thus you ensure that they cooperate in order to create a win-win situation. Some knowledge of technical and production needs would therefore be useful.
The role is located at our plant in Sassenheim, the Netherlands where you will be part of a multinational and multicultural organization that is committed to your personal and professional growth.
Responsibilities and deliverables
Within this context you assume responsibility for a wide range of strategic and detailed tasks:
Strategy and Innovation
You create the BA and sub-business unit IM strategy, Three years Operating Plan and budget in coordination and alignment with the BA, driving innovative thinking through the clear articulation of IM capabilities and proactive value propositions. You also deploy system and process knowledge to provide (business process) harmonization opportunities and proposals to business counterparts. In doing so you ensure coherence in strategic development of IM in line with agreed Enterprise Architecture.
Relationships and Networks
At all times you develop, manage and enhance relationships with key business/ function stakeholders, actively managing their expectations and ensuring that relevant stakeholders are involved in the specification of new services and/or major upgrades to existing services. You also represent Performance Coatings IM requirements and expectations towards the wider IM organization and represent IM at a business/ function level.
You ensure that IM demand is assessed, understood, captured and prioritized in Initiative Portfolio Management and always aligned with business strategy and architecture. You quantify and checked for feasibility and help to identify IM demand conflicts, recommending escalation where appropriate.
Further, you develop high quality business requirements in order to ensure proper estimation of cost, time and resources, and perform scoping to determine feasibility of initiatives and drive IPM decision-making. You then develop project estimates and the complete financial planning.
Internal Alignment / Stakeholder Management
You partner with IM supply to achieve high level solution architectures for initiatives, and in order to supply delivery services and projects, ensuring performance at agreed levels and taking actions where needed.
Service Development/ Operations
You ensure IM Services are documented through Business SLAs, monitor organizational readiness, and supervise adequate timing of change deployment in the organization.
You manage, track and report on IM Budget and realization, and BU IM Objectives and Scorecard, in alignment with global IM Line Management. This requires you to create, manage and maintain a diverse and high performing team with the capabilities to deliver in line with BA/Function/IM ambitions.
To apply for this position you must be able to demonstrate all of the following attributes:
- A relevant degree and at least eight years of relevant experience;
- Solid IT knowledge and background combined with SAP experience;
- Well developed project management (Prince 2) skills;
- At least two years of experience in managing teams;
- Capability to work in a business model where Demand and Supply have their own focus and responsibilities, but need to work together to create a win-win situation;
- Proactive and innovative strategist and facilitator able to create commitment and buy-in;
- Capability to align with senior management and stakeholders
- Fluent written and spoken English.
