Perform strategic Business Information Management for a global organization

Business Information Manager (HR & Digital Workplace)
This is a key role in which you are responsible for decision making, governance and the overall development and steering of IM. You will join a multinational and multicultural company that is committed to your personal and professional development.

The position is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Key responsibilities and deliverables
Within this context you perform a comprehensive range of IM activities:

Business Relationships You develop, manage and enhance, relationships with key business/functions stakeholders, actively managing their expectations and representing IM at the BA level.

You also represent BA IM ambitions, requirements and expectations towards the IM organization, ensuring that relevant stakeholders are involved in the specification of new services and/or major upgrades.

Strategy/Innovation
You create BA IM strategy, TOP and budgets in coordination and alignment with the BA, and in line with agreed Enterprise Architecture capability and principles. This requires you to support strategic and innovative thinking through clear articulation of IM capabilities and proactive value propositions.

Initiative Portfolio Management
You ensure that IM demand is understood, captured and prioritized in line with business strategy and architecture, then quantified and checked for feasibility.

In addition you help to identify IM demand conflicts, recommending escalation where appropriate and developing high quality business requirements in order to ensure proper estimation of cost, time and resources.  

Further, you perform project-scoping assessment and drive IPM decisions by developing project estimates and complete financial models.

Internal Alignment
You partner with IM supply to achieve high level solutions architectures for initiatives and the delivery of services and projects, ensuring performance at agreed levels and taking action where necessary.

Service Development/Operations
You ensure IM services are documented through Business SLAs, monitor organizational readiness and supervise change deployment. You also ensure the knowledge network in the BA is properly set-up and functioning.

Performance Management
You manage, track and report on IM budget and realization, and on BU IM objectives and scorecard in alignment with global IM.

Line Management
You create, manage and maintain a diverse and high performing team that is able to deliver in line with BA IM ambitions.

Candidate profile
To apply for this position you must possess all the following attributes:

  • Ability to add strategic and business value for Senior Management
  • Proactive, innovative and able to build lasting relationships and facilitate commitment and buy-in
  • Demonstrated program and project management capability 
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in an account management role with large multinational customers 
  • 5 – 8 years of experience in a consulting role in a large consulting corporation with focus on information management strategic enablement
  • 2 -3 years of experience in run IT in an intermediate management role. 
  • Excellent written and spoken English
